I know it's a stupid question but I've done a search and googled it but can't get a straight answer.

From what I can gather all high end models from AU onwards had traction control and (I think) the only BA model that didn't is the XT. Am I right?

I'm going to be getting myself one next year so I want to know everything I can before shopping around.

Not all BA's have traction control. Check the part number on the abs unit it will have 3R23-2C353-AA or AB if it has TC.

nah mate the module would also be needed and prob need for to program the BCM too...

not worth it imo as if you have more power than stock it doesnt work anyway and shuts off if you lose traction

Na ive got an 03 Futura. No traction control. I think its an option for the XR6. My mate has an XR8 and its got it. So its model dependent.

XR6T, XR8, Fairmont Ghia and I think Fairmont sedans all have it. Utes miss out. It became standard with the BF.

Sweet. I was only looking at a Fairmont or Futura. I've driven my brother's XR6T with TC and it flys off the line but sucks balls if you feel like hanging the tail a little here and there...

That's what the button is for :) when the TC light on the dash is on (looks like an orange spinning wheel) the system is off. When it just flickers its on but its controlling wheelspin.

What happens if you did buy the switch and plugged it in. I know for a fact that there is a plug behind the blank. Anyone?
