the specs for the last wheel allignment done are,
Left Right camber -0.39 -0.92 castor +3.07 +3.37 Ford settings as per repair manual Min Max camber -0.5 0 castor 3 4 The pedders guy said it won't chew tyres but it will be a little iffy at freeway speed, wave hand left and right in floating motion. is the camber on the right out enough to warrant a kit or not, as everything else is within the specs. the reason i ask is that my sister is getting this car.

I'd leave it, just rotate tyres every 10k to avoid scrubbing as -.09 Camber is a bit high, but not excessive.
Should be fine on the highway i'd think.

cheers for the replies.
i just wanted to ask as i got new shocks sitting waiting to go in and if needed better put one in with them to save on the hassle of pulling it apart again.

Its piece of mind really if you want your tyres to last longer get a castor/camber kit fitted.Falcons are nortorious for wearing out tyres in the front end specially standard height ones. But beware the kit is like 60dollars each side i think and then labour to fit them will cost all up including wheel alignment close t or more than 400 dollars.I got a camber kit fitted once i lowered my fairlane costed me 300 dollars mates rates. So its up to you or your sis if they are intending to keep the car and do lots of road trips i would suggest getting the fitted just to save the hassle of wearng out tyres.

i personaly wouldnt worrie to much about it just yet but in a month or two go back an get another wheel alinment an see if they have gone out more.
i just put a camber kit in mine, got about an inch of shims in there, a couple months ago it was out about what yours is now but then last week i checked the alinment again cos i was goin to melbourne an it was off the scale, my control arms had bent and it was out over -2.5 which wasnt a very nice thought to be left in my head. if your car is pretty rough in the front end and your roads arnt exactly smooth i suggest you check it down the track abit an see how its goin and decide from there

you might find that replacing all the front end bushes will fix it.
no point fitting a camber kit if the rest of bushes are the problem. |

Definately, some nice nolathane bushes will tighten up the front and make it feel much better.
