hey every one been a while since i last posted
well ive been having trouble with my project car my EA it keeps on blownin its diff ive replaced it 3 times in the last month the first one keeped on klunging when i turn a corner the 2nd sheard all the teath off the the last one has well i havent opened it yet but it wont drive and i was thinking of putting a ef/el one in just want to know if they will fit and if it stronger then a ea

ok thanks wot about a diff out of a v8 or are they just the same as a 6

you can fit ed or ef diff but there are some differences that need to be looked at .
from ea to ed the diff flanges are different so you need to change the diff flange or use the later tail shaft.and the lower arm bushes are different widths. and ef has same mounting points but the brake set up is different. from eb2 onwards the v8 and 6 diff centres are the same except some are lsd and ratios vary from model to model and yes they are stronger. if you keep doing burnouts you will still be changing diffs. just not as often. |

EA's are different splines arnt they?.... EA = 28 EB afterwards are 31??

yea ea has 25 spline axles with a 2 pinion centre
and eb2 on has 28 spline axles with a 4 pinion centre.. thats what makes the eb2 diff stronger than ea! |
