I have a 1999 AU Falcon Wagon with a stuffed gearbox, and I recently inherited a ED Fairmont wagon from my old man. I would like to take the gearbox from the ED to replace the one in my AU. How can I find out whether they are compatible/the same?

it will work! ......... i fitted a EB1 auto to a AU2 with no major problems. just check that the converter will fit on back of the crank. not sure if there was any differances with mine as i chickened out & payed someone else to fit mine.
