Ive developed an all new problem, and its getting worse... sometimes I stick it in 1st of reverse, and the speed goes up as I accelerate (really funny when I do this in 5th), the revs steady, car not moving... strange noise from diff... and then it either just bites in (not good at 5000RPM), or it just doesn't go.. restart car, whatever. I had to take off in 3rd a couple of times... and if that fails... 5th. if that fails... hazzards and try random things.

Whats wearing? and needs replacing? pinion and crown wheel?

I should also mention that my diff isn't an LSD, but does turn both wheels at the same time(no matter what).

Cheers

You have a manual so not really, if you had an auto could have been the gearbox.
