Stupid as it was, I was doing a 180 degree spin out the front of a mates place in my AU XR on the grass last nite to turn around. As it started going around, the inside of the rear drivers wheel went bang and the rear of the car shot up in the air.
Seems I ran over the tip of this massive stump hidden underground, ripped it out while sending my car flying and tearing off the drivers side of the rear bar. Now when im driving down the street, the car feels loose in the a** end and the steering wheel is constantly turned to the left now.... When you hit a bump the a** wobbles across the road. It is a hard feeling to describe but it jst wobbles and generally feels loose in the rear. Anyone have any idea what to start looking for? It wasnt going real fast when I spun it but when the wheel grabbed the stump it threw the car up and a big loud bang... I've tried putting good rims on the car to see if it was a warped rim but no change. Jacked it up and had a good look and couldnt see anything broken. Any ideas guys would be much appreciated.

Yeh I cant get it there till monday tho and im starting a new job in the city at 8am Monday.
I have a feeling maybe ive knocked a rear wheel out of alignment and thats making it crab and be unstable. I cant fix that but I want to rule out everything else first.

I'm interested in why too, because I'm getting a similar phenomenon happening, although only minor after having a back wheel come off while driving. Just feels a bit more loose than it used to.

if you push the rear quarter panel of the car, does the back end wobble. That would be REALLY bad, as soemthing is defintatle broke. <queue v8 bathurst coverage where crompto keeps bringing up footage of the rear end assembly with broken watts link or whatever it was>
But yeah, at the least you're gonna need an alignment and suspension test.

take it to pedders, don[t tell them what happened and get a 28 point suspension and safety check down for 14 bucks. should show something up there. you'd definately be in need of a wheel alignment i reckon!

Yeah thanks guys, I use pro Axle in Narellan though. Never taking my car to a Pedders again if I can help it.
Couldnt even do a simple wheel alignment properly, kept chewing tyres. Pro Axle fixed it in one hit, alignment, camber and castor. Data_mine, the rear does move slightly but nothing out of the ordinary. I remember seeing that video clip of the supercars and mine is nothing like that. Interceptor, It's IRS. XCH45R, I've never done skids on the grass before in this car. Dont see the point if you can do it on the tar. It was on my mates dirt race track out the back of his they've been using for around 15 years. By some form of miracle, I was the first to ever hit this thing just below the surface. Never will my car leave the tar again. Thanks for your help guys, let you's know what Pro Axle tell me tomorro.
