I'd still go slotted, they make a difference. They keep the pad dressed in addition to the usual blah blah gas dissipation etc.
I think replacing the same size rotors on my bf with cross drilled and slotted probably felt about the same as putting bigger discs and callipers on the ute with non-slotted/drilled discs. Pretty sure you can buy reputable brand (dba & rda) slotted discs for little more than standards to. As long as you don't buy ford manufactured ones.

Geez MA77US, your setting a rapid pace lol. I better start putting some weekends aside if I'm going to beat you to my dream ute before you beat me there...
I've been eyeing off this conversion/upgrade to the BA/BF calipers, let me know how it went for you when you've got it done...
