hey all
well, after i've come back from bali (yes i know it was a while ago!) the car seemed to be steering quite strange - and after looking at it from head-on the other day, it seems the car has reverted back to how it was before the camber kit was fitted - lol its got a nice V8 supercar stance on the front rims! now, my mother drove it whilst i was away, which may have contributed to the poor camber now (although no scrapes on the rims!), but i was just wondering how & if a car can 'lose' its camber so dramatically? its got a camber kit fitted, and was all sorted after that was done... so i'm lost. any thoughts?

as far as I was aware the camber can only be adjusted by getting in there and physicaly adjusting the settings.. not just go out of setting.. what type of camber kit do you have on there?

No, the camber is how much the wheel leans in on it's vertical axis thats why you need a camber kit when you lower your car because the lower the car is the more the wheel leans in at the top. |

Hey ugly, you're mum doesn't hit any track days does she?
Lukey, more negative camber (tops of tires closer together) is used to improve lateral grip while cornering(hard). *edit: forget to say at the cost of increased tire wear whenever you're NOT cornering hard, ie. going straight...* Check the rear of an IRS Commodore thats been lowered without a camber kit to see what excessive amounts look like... always makes me laugh..
