Is an e-brake some American term for handbrake? Couse I bnoticed on the CHamp Cars last night they talked about the driver operating the e-brake by hand. And on Need for Speed Underground 2, there's normal brake and e-brake (no handbrake).

an "e-brake" is a foot controlled "handbrake". it looks like a clutch pedal in an auto :p.
it's a toggle button though - you have to push it in and it clicks. then you have to push it again to release. They're mainly found on US delivered jap cars like Honda Legends and stuff. They're awesome for front wheel drive drifting. |
