You need a HUGE press to get them in and out.
You can get a set of 4 from Suzukisuper on Ebay for $55, and Wholesale Suspension in Penrith quoted Racedirector $70 to remove and replace them. Provided of course you take them the upright already removed. BenJ

Yup, just did that. Like Ben said, Suzukisuper ball joints, picked up @ $55.00 a set. They are called CV Joints Australia in real life, in Auburn. Wholesale Suspension, Penrith changed them over (all 4) in an hour for $75.00. I took the stub axels in to them....
If you do get the ball joints from Suzkisuper, check they all have nuts! I am missing one and they have sent me the wrong replacements. Gotta get back on the phone again... Cheers RD

yer i've got a dodgey 6 tonne shop press at home and i can't get them out. for the time it would take me to make proper dies n dollies etc it's cheaper for me to take them to pedders. thats the knuckle/stubaxle assembly out of the car of course.
took them to selby's once and had one flog out before 5,000k's wasn't happy n they didn't want to know about it. everyone i talked to or showed it to reckoned it mustve had at least 500,000k's on it, what a load.

I recently experimented with removing the ball joints from a spare set of spindles I had and I got them out easily by Hammer and water pipe. I then did the same on my car spindles but took it to repco to get them pressed in.

The ball joints sre easy to get out, just used a long heavy drift and a decent size hammer, out in 3 to 4 whacks. I made some instalation tools to put them back in, but depending on what brand they are, you usually have to take the boots off, so as not to damage them.
I even made a tool to put the grease cap on.
