What drugs are you on FordFairmont? what's the point in upgrading our brakes if we are just going to use the stock s**t E Series Callipers? What FordFairmont means is: "can you make a bracket to fit two PBR Twin Spot Calipers on a stock rotor, for essentially double the stopping power?"

A Question that's just popped into my head:
Will some states need to get an ADR (Engineering Certificate) for the Kidney Plates?

From my understanding anything modified on a car needs a engineering certificate but will ask my fabricator and see what he says and if it needs it then we can organise something

I have a feeling a similar process is used throughout states, however in qld you would have to get it signed off on by an approved engineer.
If I was to buy anything like this I would contact my local approved engineer (easy as I already know its my local mechanic) and explain what I am purchasing and as much information regarding who it is made by/how it is made/what from and find whether they are willing to sign off on it. Generally they will want to fit it or will charge for having to inspect it anyway. Also different people might be more/less willing to sign off on different modifications, a lot also depending whether you are actually one of their customers that they know etc. As long as the quality of work and design is good (which I'm sure it would be if being made by someone in the industry with enough experience to embark upon it in in the first place) then generally there won't be any/many issues with getting it through. I know the southern states are generally a bit tougher however.

If i canrt find out then anyone can give a call to there states RTA and ask the question and at the end of the day its a modification so it must be engineered. This kit will meet all ADR's so there no issues there and will be super strong.
Honestly guys how many people out there have upgraded there brakes, wheels, diff and so on with no engineers report. I know a few people and it wouldnt cost much to engineer it and if u present the kindy plates to the engineer prior to fitting then they can see how strong it is and wont have a issue signing it off. So for the sake of peace of mind just get it engineered as it wont cost much plus i dont see how many cops will notice the twin spot caliper as the dimensions are about the same, so they wouldnt pick it.

it will vary VERY greatly between engineer to engineer (in VIC) so if one says he wants to do finite element analysis and fatigue testing, screw up his phone number and call another one!

Most shops that engineer this sort of work and mini - full tubs, diff conversions and that sort of stuff are good to deal with as if you tell them whats its made of and the rest of it they sign it of no problems.
Dont worry guys NSW & VIC have the toughest laws so ill make sure they will pass and if i have to get a letter or something made up from my engineer with each set ill do that and then u can present that to the engineer in your state, so that there wont be any issues to pass it. If anything once fitted they will want to see it on the car running and take it for a drive just to make sure it works and its safe.

Are they original EL GT rotors or repo's by some mob?
I have been trying to track them down for ages! (without mortgaging my left testicle and selling one kidney to afford). Then essentially all you need is your uprights modified to fit a bigger caliper.
