I was actually on DBA's site today and noticed there wasn't an option for EL GT (that I could find anyway). Left me wondering what EL GT owners do if their rotors die? hans hartman wrote: yeah, they made 400 rotors last year---retail about $440 each, still watching with interest, Ouch.

I bought a pair of DBA slotted EL GT fronts for about $650 last year, brand new.
No special discount either? DBA listed them last time I checked...

Ahh yes found them, they are listed under FPV
$650 isn't too bad a price considering the size. Possibly a stupid question but do GT rotors fit straight onto a normal el upright? Also was wondering if anyone has considered adaptors rather than modifying the uprights to take different calipers? I have been trying to find more info on the legalities of these as I am unsure but have seen them used on a fair few (although mainly older) cars.

No they don't, the pad ears are close to the stock discs, no room for 330mm! The only modification that gets done to the upright is the removal of these pad ears, and machining flat the caliper mount sections on the spindle. This has to be done for an adaptor to be fitted, if we are talking 330mm/C4 2pot caliper anyway, ala EL GT/Saloon Cars/Cebco/Racebrakes kit.
