I had a knock in my ef, i took the shocks into pedders as they were under warranty and he said a lower mounting bolt was loose. Turns out he was right, got home put them back in set the torque wrench to effing tight and now all good. Pedders I've found were pretty honest, well the one I went to anyway I'm sure there are plenty of dodgey ones, take it in for the 14 dollar check just see what they say, you don't have to buy what they suggest.
