Hey brew I didn't use the clutch switch. Just got to remember your cruise control will rev s**t out of your engine if it is on and you go changing gears when cruise control is active. Jus tap the brake or what not and you be right

Depends...
If your poor and value money, then the pedal box. It will take you a couple of hours to get in properly. If you have money and value time, then the Mal Wood pin. Takes a whole 5 mins to put in. Either will give the same result in the end. |

You dont need to immediately. But over time there is a chance the area around the clutch hole on the firewall will crack.
If you have a reasonable clutch, as in not stupidly heavy - factory spec, and keep your clutch cable well adjusted, routed and lubed, you should get many many years of crack free firewall use. If you want to reinforce now, Ford used to sell a reinforcement plate for something like $30. It was an XC or XD part number from memory, but it might be NLA nowadays. Otherwise do a search here as someone drew up specs for a decent home made reinforcement, but it was a while back. Oh, and in reference to your question before about using the pedal box, to fit it, I'm guessing you've already read its 1/2 dash or full dash out job, depending how you want to tackle it. |

I did read somewhere a bloke had used a grinding disc to spread the load across the wall. You looked into a hydraulic clutch yet?
