hey all

i know this has been covered before, but can't find exactly what i want! :P

i've found an EA 5-speed wreck w/ 180k on the odo - i realise i'll need to source an EF manual ECU, but what other issues will i run into fitting an EA T5 into an EF 4-speed?

cheers! :)

thought u didnt want a t5,

yeah goes in fine but apparently they arrent as strong as the eb and upwards boxes, you may possibly need a ef/el pedal box on that im not sure if they are the same of not

Yeah not as strong from what I've heard and have different gear ratios.

Yeh different ratios, and supposedly not as strong.
1st is very short if memory serves me right.
Similar first gear ratio to the Sprint T5.

strength issues marginal with a stock car

EA flywheel has only three bolts, small dia clutch

shorter 1st as said

cheat the pedal box using a mal wood billet pin kit

be happy :)

Nothing wrong with an EA T5, Been using them in my ED for ages now, Yes different gear ratios, you won't need a maunal ECU if you use the resitor mod .

But it would be a good idea to put in a 6blot clutch, they can be tap & dyed into a 3 bolt flywheel .
