i can get hold of a EA GL 5speed cheep and the gearbox is like new
to drive.

what i want to do is fit this gearbox into my EB11.

fitting the box and pedals and stuff im ok with

im just worried about the fact that the EA is CFI and 3.2

so i dont think i can use the ecu from the EA and also being a 3.2

will it be weeker than a 3.9/4.0 box??

also what would happen if i fit the box and leave the auto EB!! ECU in it??

would it run??

I am 99% sure they will be the same gearbox, the EB II may have a different input shaft though, in wich case you have 2 options. Fit the EA flywheel and clutch assembly (you'll probably need a 3.9 one) or fit an EB II onwards gearbox. Place the EA ECU in the nearest rubbish bin it is no good to anyone for anything. The EB II Auto ECU will be fine with the manual, but a manual ECU is probably better. Should all work, good luck with the conversion.
