ok i had to have the auto serviced in the eb the gasket on the pan was leaking so i thought id put the whole service kit through it and change the fluid aswell as it was black, now i took it to a well respected mechanic who done the job for me and he flushed the whole auto system and adjusted the bands a little as they wer a bit slippy, now the problem has just risen today i went to the shops to buy some milk and i noticed the gear changes are real smooth which is good but once i pulled up on a slight incline trying to take off was as if somebody had there foot on a clutch just revs it's nuts out till it rolls back slightly then engages and takes off, now i checked the fluid it's full there arnt any leaks, and once moveing it changes really well it's just that hill starts are a problem now. it's never done this. any suggestions.

the ea2 4 speed auto is a 87le/m85 and the eb2 4 speed auto is a 91le/m91 a few minor internal differences but pretty much the same box.. except eb2 has its tcm intergrated into the engine ecu..

yer i know i6 autos wont wont on a v8. i know onw thing ill never order a box from a mob in the states cant remember there name but one of the local drag racers here brought one for his xb and the box was supposed to be able to handle up to 850hp he was barely pushing 650hp and after one short drive off the trailer the imput shaft was broken was a 5min old box. they reckon it was his fault because he didnt have one of there specialists fit it.
