Hi all just wondering if an eb diff (full rebuilt LSD unit) and I want to put the whole diff assembly into my el fairmont. Is it possible to fit an eb diff into an el?
I have done a fair bit of searching and looking but could only find info on ef/ el into eb/ ed.
I do not want to change just the LSD centre as I have heard its a big hassle and will cost money (bearings etc) i want to just swap the whole diff axle assembly.
I know the handbrake, disc brake setup and upper control arms are different.
Can I replace this eb hardware with el hand brake etc to get it to fit?
Any help would be great
Cheers

The position of the upper trailing arm mounts on the EL diff housing are different, and the diff cover is different in the way that the pivot pin/stud for the Watt's Link are 20mm lower for EL.
EL diff housings are their own, as was explained to me when they were brand new at a Ford Tech school.
