Can any one tell me if an ED 5 speed transmission has a 'Neutral Drive switch' ? My EF has been converted and its got a tranny from a ED in it and i dont think it has a neutral drive switch. In the EF the EEC-V system needs to see the Neutral Drive Switch as an input so it can go into Lean Mode.

nah, it's an auto only item, but IIRC you can bypass this problem by finding out which 2 wires need to be joined to fool the ECU into thinking the car is in neutral

According to the ford EF workshop manual the Manual tranny had a Neutral Drive Switch. I've already bridged it in the wiring loom but my power steering pressure switch is also brigded, so i'm thinking it may be trying to get into lean mode too quickly.
