ok thnks, well the weird thing is.. i went back and they showed me their chart.... it says EA to EB are steel, ED to AU are aluminium.
difference between the two uni joints are: aluminium one is thinner build than the steel one... i just hope the uni joint that suppose to fit aluminium will fit mine thanks |

The UJ's from EB to BF are all the same with the exception of the BA-BF wagons (over size snap rings) All BF have double shot peened journals. Some alloy had stronger bearings but only on a very small build quantity. So basically they are all the same dimensions. The E series had steel driveshafts except for the XR's and V8's which are alloy.

Unless you have a fully sick drag car with heaps of torque stick with alloy. Im not going into the reason why they are better than steel at higher speeds like Hwy travel. If it was cost factor Ford would be using steel shafts in the utes and wagons (BA-BF models) as alloy is more expensive. I had steel in my fairmont ghia but now alloy and its alot quieter on the Hwy.
