Hi guys, have swapped over diffs in my ED. Put a 2.77 LSD in it and changed the yokes over to match the tailshaft as they were not the same. When I matched up the flanges on the tailshaft and yoke, the tailshaft came out about 50mm out of the gearbox (that is, the "shiny" end of the tailshaft is showing 50mm or so, don't know the name of this part of the tailshaft)
Does this now require me to get a new tailshaft or is there a way around it? Thanks, Ryan

if the car is jacked up/wheels off the ground?
that sounds about right. as the tail shaft will move in and out of the gear box when the suspension used.. |

Excellent, that means I don't have to fork out $100 for one from the wreckers.
Looks like he'll be back on the road by Tuesday (waiting for diff cover gasket). Thanks Troyman
