When braking at very low speeds (less than 5 kph ) occassionaly the ABS cuts in and hammers and allowing the brake pedal to go low to the floor. You really have to stand on it to stop. The ABS light may or may not come on.
Did a diagnostics and spat out code 45 which is RHF sensor. I checked its resistance which was within specs.
Where is fuse to disable and how to remove ECU if it is the problem.
Any ideas?

Richie.

what to check on tone wheel.
as a matter of interest the problem has occurred using slotted DBA rotor and now also RDA slotted and dimpled.

Richie.

For those interested - on EDV8 Fairmont ABS ECU's code 45 is actually LHF sensor and not RHF as per manual. There must be typo in the manual or program typo. I came across Ford computer repairer who had seen the problem before.
Sure enough went to check mine and the LHF connector had fried on the extractors - the exhaust guy had melted it when he installed the pacies and simply taped it up with black insulation tape. It was intermittenley shorting.
Thanx.

Richie.
