Just noticed a shudder when some power is put thru the box.
this happens in all gears I'm pretty sure it's not the tailshaft or diff and doesn't seem to be from the motor It'slike a sort of a julting feeling when the pedel is applied. could it be some solenoid stuffed up or something or is she totally screwed? Any ideas? |

I'd go reco - second hand is ok but ONLY if you know the history of the car its out of - otherwise you are quite possibly going to get one that spent most of its life in a Taxi. No thank you!

Check the mounting brackets holding the tranny, if loose or missing a bolt then the tranny will start knocking around physically. Worth a look, had it happen to my XF some years ago.

Seems to do it when hot
the fluid is about 2-3mm above HOT,when hot - but its been like this since its last service and full flush 7000kms (1month ago) and wasn't doing it then |

You may want to get a multimeter out and check your spark plug leads

Perhaps if you release the Midget you've got stowed in the boot then the noise will go away?

I think you could be onto something there... I just got some ecu codes out, KOER - bloody different codes each time usally 521 p/s switch sometimes 411 - isc idle once or twice 621 - trans soleniod 1 falure once 652 TCC - possibly but noticed when quick flooring in neutral - a cough-splutter mid-high range so possibly leads. maybe coil pack - anone know the test resistance to check?? |

Change the leads, they are only good for around 100,000km's, and dont cost all that much to buy.
Also check the earth from the battery to the body, to the block, this can cause spurious codes to be generated. Also check universal joints as these can cause a vibration that may feel like a shudder. |
