Hey guys,

I think the torque converter may be gone in my car however im not 100% sure, hence my post.

Basically if i shift it back from drive to second it sounds like its in neutral. It just revs and doesnt go sound like its engaging a gear until the revs get high enough.

Any ideas or past experiences will help alot.

Thanks.

I have been told that the gearbox has one of two possible problems

1- Neutral Safety Switch

2- Burnt out Internal clutch

The way to check the switch at home is to put it into 1st and drive off- if it os manually changing up gears then its the switch otherwise its time for a new box.

Gonna test it at lunch today.
