what can prevent torque converter from locking

Low engine coolant temperature will not stop the torque converter from locking up.

Paulmac repeats, according to Ford and Ellery's EF/EL workshop manuals:-
"Engine coolant below 45degC" = no TCC lockup.
One other listed cause is "insufficient road speed".

S7 solenoid not operating, Limp home mode (LHM) - which will be 3rd gear, converter unlocked.

doesnt lock on mine till it gets to about 60 or so
