I seem to have a few electrical gremlins residing in my tail lights, the brake lights dont work unless the headlights are on, then they are fully lit??? also the reverse lights are not lighting when reverse is engaged. is this a common problem with ef's and all globes are good.

Well it seems I dont have to replace the loom after all. I found the parcel tray brake light had a broken globe and when it was replaced the brake lights began to function.
the reverse lights do work but only when the shifter is at a point in between reverse and nuetral, does that mean the shifter has wear and can it be adjusted? gem.

Yes you can adjust it ,2x8 mm bolts hold the neutral switch in place.Loosen and turn / adjust and make sure you have someone watching. You may have to adjust it a couple of times because the switch also controls your start circuit. You can try putting it in reverse and adjusting the switch to suit and make sure it still starts in neutral/park.If it doesn't adjust then it is time for a new switch which is about $90 from ford or a second hand and do all the adjustments again. It is easier than it sounds esp. with a helper.Cheers Kevman
