i have a ef wicth is noisy in the diff when i back off
is it true i can put the lsd hub in it ?
as its only a standard single now or do i have to get a 9 inch one

You can put a LSD centre in it, no problems.

could be the bearings that a making noise, if so, change the bearings while changing the centre, 2 bearings on each side of the centre, and one on each end of the axel.

this may be worthless if u have already decided to go lsd, but service it abt $30 for decent oil and 10mins to drain and refill, my cousin had a similar problem diff makin weird noises when backing off we serviced it and its come up pretty decent.
