I am thinking about a brake upgrade and was wondering if with some adptor plates maybe i could get AU2 calipers on to my EF falcon.
I have seen the brake upgrades on ebay are then any good.
Also i do not want to change my offset or change my master cylinder if possable.
what good packages are out there.
Got any ideas.

I bought the Race Brakes Sydney 343mm x 32mm two piece rotor, 4 piston AP Racing Calipers kit. It's being finalised ATM, hopefully be here next week. Guess it depends how serious you want to get with your brakes.

OK so bit above what i was thinking about spending.
Can i mod my stub axles and fit something like the ebay kit by buying the calipers and rotors.
Has anyone modded the stub axles to do something like this.
The ebay kit says it based around the EL GT setup.

Can i just buy the stub axle part to fit 330mm rotors.
I already have brake bits that i was thinking i could use.
TE50 front calipers would that work.

There is no simple or cost effective way to upgrade E Series brakes. If there was, we would all have done it by know.

If however, you are able to work it out, please let us all know.

Most people are not willing to spend several times the value of their car on brakes, so a good 'Value' brake package would be well received.

Cheers

Thats it.
If you can buy the stub axle everything else is off the shelf product that most places have in stock.
Now from what i have read most place modified your stub axles to make the EL GT set up work now why can't i just mod my own and put EL GT rotors on it with the TE50 calipers i have already and the TE50 calipers are the same as EL GT calipers.
Which is why i wanted just the stub axles i know how to pick up the phone and order a pair of EL GT rotors just not sure how the modified the stub axles yet.
Maybe if i had a pair of rotors i could work it out i have spare stub axles here 2 pairs in fact.
But if someone who makes this kit wants to just sell the stub axles please let me know.

Most of the money is in the machining of the stub axcle to fit the rotors plus brake caliper bits.

This is the order of brake upgrade ill do if i had a choice

BA/BA 296mm rotor with BF twin stop caliper, will be the cheapest as rotors, calipers and pads are cheap and can find them any where. Apparently you can use the Territory rotors and calipers as there sopposed 2 better again. This is a good street kit package

Then 330mm rotor setup and i would just go buy the Race Brakes Sydney kit as there a proven kit and everyone ive chatted to online have great things to say about the kit. This is a good street/race package

We all need to team up and get someone on this forum to make up some kits if we are all genuinly interested. Made to oder basis. Even just machinging the stub axcel and we get the rest of the parts to put it together, id be happy to do that as then i can shop around for the best price on rotors and calipers and pads that i want.

eboost you interested???

There is also another forum member who has done a brake upgrade on his falcon that may be able to do the job as well. psupernak is his user nickname

Mickyyy

Does the BA/BF 296mm rotor with the BF caliper need a modified stub axle to make it work if not this would be a good upgrade for most people with but how do you make it fit the axle itself.
BA sealed bearing set up compared to EF/EL tappered bearing set up.

Yeh it is different unfortunatly so thats why machining of stub axcel is needed.

Here is another good upgrade but is avaliable for AU onwards

If someone can machine the stubaxcel to fit the below items would be the cheapest way out of it and perform well.

LOL

really as ive pm you ages ago as i saw a post of yours when u mentioned u upgraded your brakes to BA gear or something like that. I asked if you can do the same setup but AU onwards offset +35mm but u said you werent happy with the strengh of it so i didnt bother u again about it.

I guess this is your time to shine my friend and make this kit happen :D

To keep things simple for you is just do machine the uprights and provide the caliper mounts and thats it.

Check out this threadi started which asked for people oppiontions and poll, you will quickly notice people want a kit in either standard offset or AU onwards. Like i said if you can get the uprights done and people buy there own rotors, calipers, pads and brakes line or you supply and charge extra for your trouble.

Ok eboost

What do you normaly run on your $1600 package?
What do your stub axles run BA hubs or a EL set up with 330mm rotors?
I would think if you made stub axles that fit the BA hubs and keep the Pre AU off set then you will have a winner Because the people can buy a BA brake set up like this
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-325MM-Rotor-Premium-Blue-Calipers-BA-GT-XR6-Turbo_W0QQitemZ320344946976QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item320344946976&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
and buy some new hubs from ford and thats good set up.
But back to your package if it is like this for $1600 brand new i think you could sell a heap more just buy advertiseing it on FORD mods.

Mickyyyy

What do you think?
