hey all.. will a ef or el power steering rack fit in my eb...
i have trashed mine and conversion sounds beneficial..?
will i need a ef or el steering column ..

As far as physically... I'm not sure... EF/EL has different input splines to EB/ED... You can't really hack anything to convert it back into a EB/ED column...

If you run the EF/EL column you'll need all associated gear for it... combo switch, clock spring, wheel, as they all vary from EB/ED gear...

See my build (link in sig)... I made a "hybrid" column which is an EF/EL top into an ED bottom to fit on the ED intermediate shaft... It was fairly easy to make the hybrid column I made... Would be more difficult to go the other way, though may be possible...

Only thing to keep in mind is to the keep the "hacking up" safe so that nothing fails in the event of an accident or causes an accident...

yeh mate, they are the same, bolt straight up but will need a wheel alignment when fitted

helped a mate do one in his EB2 and had no dramas

please stop posing all your threads in the 6 cyl forum....
