My Lane has got 450k on the clock and the LSD is just a no go. Ive put additives in it and what not but with that many kms im better to find a diff with probaly half the amount of kms it has. Im looking at buying a LSD from a EF Fairmont, will this bolt strait in?? And if not what have I got to do to make it fit??

Any help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

NF/NL Fairlanes and Fairmonts didn't come with LSD from factory unless optioned which, from what I read is what you're trying to get. You probably already know but check the tag if it's still there and spin the rotors to see if it's LSD or it's still working lol.

Yeah ive jacked it up and checked it all out and no it doesnt work. Most obviously test was how many black lines did i end up with in the workshop. lol. Ive managed to find a 3:45:1 Tickford option LSD and was hoping this was goin to do the job sufficiently.

Depending on whether it is EF or EL you may need to get the accompanying arms and lower control arm front bracket. I have EF tickford arms and a mate reckons they are different to his stock EF arms..

I fitted a 3.45 lsd EL/NL diff to my NF 5.0 and had no issues with different bushes, handbrake cable maybe - it dont work, but bushes were all ok, btw if anyone wants a 3.23 lsd let me know (EF / NF)
