Just recently i crashed my beloved 5speed ED futura with an LSD (which is beyond repair) and have now obtained a mint condition EF fairmont ghia as a replacement.
Unfortunately, the fairmont is an auto and i loathe driving them... Does anyone know if i could just use the ED parts to convert the fairmont, of course buying an EF 5speed computer and gear boot etc. Will the gearbox bolt up? Is there a docco or anything that anybody knows of to do this? Any help would be appreciated......Cheers.

You will be able to use the gearbox, flywheel & clutch.
Pedal box will not be a direct bolt in, but can be modified to fit. Should be able to use the old clutch cable I'd say. You can trick the auto ECU, and not worry about the Manual one if you can't find one. |

get two resistors
a 1.2k .25 or .5 watt and a 7k, you then put the resistors on to your auto reo plug to tell the ecu the temp is fine and its in drive! Speak to Jaysen i believe he has a doco on it Mal wood in qld sells a pedla pin which goes in to your auto pedal box to attach the manual clutch pedal bout $90 from memory cheaper and easier than changing pedal box

just a question - if the ecu thinks it is in drive how come the smartlock won't disable starting the engine ??
