Hello there to everyone,i got a mistery problem when i apply my brakes the whole car and especially the steering wheel shakes and viborates like hell,i have checked everything i can think of,i put brand new disc rotors and pads on the rear i machined the drive shafts (axels) from the Diff and balanced my wheels and checked everything for movement and wear and tear...NOW the front end i mashined the front disc rotors and put new pads i changed the steering shaft checked every single bolt from the K frame to susspension to steering rack to engine mounts to auto mount to tail shaft you name it i checked it.But i ONLY GET THIS WHEN I APPLY MY BRAKES.its been checked by 2 mechanics and they cant seem to find the problem. ANY IDEAS PLEASE ?????? ITS DOING MY HEAD IN, it feels like my car is going to fall apart im to scared to drive it...Thanks Peter.
I forgot to say that i got pushed out of my line by a TAXI driver and i forced my car to hit extremly hard on to a foot path were only my 2 left hand side wheels hit on .. |

have u jacked it up and felt the left hand front wheel bearings , i had shudders thru the steering from bad front bearings in my taxi when i got it. also had to replace the radius rod bushes as they had a heap of movement too.

Radius rod bushes and/or stuffed steering rack is my guess. Also, if your back wheel hit the kerb, the diff/axle could be stuffed too. But the vibration on slowing will most likely be from the front end.
Take it to Pedders and get a 28point suspension check, it's their job to find problems like this day in and day out. JT |
