hello all just thought i would ask if any one has had this happen when braking normaly..ok driving the other night noticed the brake pedal was firm when i pressed it .ok normal then, when i pressed harder it felt like in was stuck for a second then it released and the car was braking normaly again.it does this every now and then specialy when i dont use the brakes for a period of time, u can feel the car braking but if u apply more presure on the pedal it will go hard for a second then release . not sure what to think about it maybe front calipers are binding or somthing else..only thing i can think of is the spring in the booster sticking ? any ideas thanks

when you say hard for a second do you mean the pedal is hard to push dowm??
if so i would say you may have crack in the booster or seized calipers.. |

Check the booster immediately! If it goes completely you'll have next to no brakes at all

yeah i have checked around the booster seems ok i did notice today when i pressed on the brake pedal after i started the car , standing out side the drivers door i did hear a ping sound coming from the d/s brake caliper, pedal was a bit hard when i pressed on it them herd the ping sound pedal went back to normal so im asuming the slides on the caliper might be sticking ,,also notice it doesnt do this after i have been braking hard for a period ,im going to pull the front calipers off and check the slides ect ..if it gets worse ill have it checked by a brake shop ..thanks for the info much apreciated
