anyone used the 80/140 penrite oil in they're diffs?
I'd like to change the oil and wanted to get off the LSX90 or is this the best? cheers

mines only a single spinner
but i did my diff oil today.. 120,000km old.. it was black.. mmm and smelt bad

ford recomend
sae 90 hypoid for ss sae 90 EP for limited slip and sae 80W/140 for the 8's. and i have the penrite limpslip 80/140 in the diff now, its ss, it did have a very slight whine at 110km/h which has now disappeared.

After I had my hemi rebuilt, Im using straight penrite 140 .. and it is like a spool, never open wheels, with 235 on the back in the dry, I don't think you can by the penrite straight 140 over at the shops, But Not interested in using 90/140 ... just straight 140 . Yeah, its a little bit nosiey, but meh, can't have everything right hehe.
But if you going to buy it over the counter penrite 90/140 works good .. |
