hi everyone,
I have an 1994 5spd ef gli sedan and an 1995 nf fairlane ghia auto. basically I am wanting to swap gearboxes over so the fairlane is manual and gli is auto. . im wondering if anyone could tell me if the manual ecu from the gli will "plug and play" in the fairlane and vise versa. . also could anyone tell me if there will be any modding of the tranny tunnel for the t-bar and gearstick in each car? I have heard of such modding being needed but this will be my first conversion so im not 100% on the facts. . im a fan of trial and error . thanks in advance |

Both being 'EF', I'm pretty sure it will be a plug'n'play situation.
Trans tunnel may require some different screw holes to be drilled. Nothing huge and they should be covered when the parts are fitted anyway. |

I can't confirm it but I don't see why it would be any different.
The CC brain does all the work, it just needs some temperature info from the ECU which comes from the dash, so they will all be the same. |
