will a ef steering rack fit in an xf my friend wants power steering and i only have a ef rack

As far as I knew the X series fun a steering box, not a rack system, If its a box, NO the rack wont fit,

The X series does have a box that's Power Steering, so you can convert it, you need a box and Pitman arm, and the Pump and lines, You can still get the box as a new item, ( reco ) you may have to pay a core deposit for the different steering box, all hose are available through Repco or Bursons, as for the Pitman Arm

xf runs re-circulating ball steering set-up and EF runs rack and pinion

also, XF has imperial threads.
So installing an XF power box on any e-series engine your wanting to install will require a custom pressure line to be made. otherwise an XG power steering box will again solve this.
