i done the front rotors yesterday and it is very easy but didnt take photo's sorry (1st time doing it) you take the calipers off first then the outer silver cap then the split pin, and the nut the rotors and bearings will come out.
if your planing on getting new bearings take the old ones off and grease the new ones up (high temp grease) dont be shy with the grease on the bearings there is a bearing behind that will still be on the car to take off. clean the outercap with a rag (to get ridd of the old grease) and anything else that needs cleaning. and just reverse from when you take it off.

Cool, i didnt think it would be too hard, im getting a set of DBA slotted for it.. wont be able to see them cause its still got the standart fairmont wheels on it.. i think there is a dust cover that i can take off the wheel.. untill i get the new mags.. getting those typhoon replicas..
$1200 fitted with tyres, 18 inch..

I need a expert here.. I changed the rotors to rda slotted, with new bearings and a s**t load of grease.. can you use too much grease??
can that bust the rear seal like of you put to much into a ball joint?? Anyhow, i got it all back together. I didnt bleed the system, me parts guy said it wouldnt need it, as im not opening up the bleed valves etc.... First run with new pads and rotors with half a gentle touch on the brake pedal the abs buzzes... thought nothing of it.... i gets 5 or 6 k's down the road the "check ABS" light comes on, and the brakes dont feel as good, but are stopping the car as you would expect... What have i done wrong?,, should a bleed be recomended.. ive always bleed after any pad change!!... Help boys, i just want it to be 100% safe!..

I cleaned the calipers and surrounding areas with a brake cleaner than the hose. ( cause i painted the caliper).. could this be the reason why?.. water on the sensor?was i supposed to do anything special for the abs when i changed the rotor?

Are the shutter wheels damaged in any way? Ive seen guys remove these shutter wheels and fit them on non abs rotors and if they are not just right they will bring the abs light on. Also magnetic filings on the abs sensor can cause problems. Sometimes after rotors have been machined on cars the filings collect on the sensor also bringing the light on.

The rotors are brand ndew RDA's, everything looked 100%perfect, as you would expect. The abs sensor is that wire that goes to the back of the rotor near the shudder wheel???.. ill sus it out.. Everything was fine till i changed the rotors today, the old ones where warped, and would vibrate through the steering wheel at high speed braking.

Not being a user of them, how good are RDA rotors ? Ive only used DBA s. Im not hanging s**t on RDA s coz i dont know much about them but i know there are some crap rotors on the market. Does any one know about the quality of RDA rotors?

find a secluded road and put 2 wheels on the dirt and stand on the brakes, if u'r abs is working u will know it. and yes that is a lot of grease, have u had the rotor off since u put it on? u may find u'll be pushing grease out past the seal and even forward into the dust cap.
