Hey guys i got ultra low king springs all round in my ef on 20s with 225/35 rubber on the front it sits perfect but the tyres are scrubbing on what i think is the upper ball joint (not 100% its the ball joint as i havent had time to pull the wjeels of and check yet) does anybody have any ideas of what i can do to stop it scrubbing other then raising it?

35 profile if too tall, you need to get a 30 profile. have a look, see if you can just remove the grease nipple to give you the extra clearance.

Your gonna need a pretty thick space to clear that ball joint nipple. Then your going to have the tyre pretty much outside the guard. you will need to change the tyre profile. The tyre profile to ball joint is a static measurement, only a lower profile tyre is going to give you the clearance you need. Trust me, been there, done that.

Different tyre makers also can have a slightly different case size that will clear, I know good year have a larger case than falken for example. I ran 245 40 18's on my old EF, the Falkens fitted fine, the Good years fouled on the ball joint. not only on the nipple but the lower of the ball joint itself.

yes lowered shocks and no not tucking rim, top of the gaurd sits just over the front tyre, i had 225/25 on the front before these n fitted fine but the profile was just way too small and the tyre was too skinny too. i want as much rubber on the wheels as possible to try protect the rim as much as possible.

Adjusting the camber will not stop it hitting the balljoint. As mentioned above by a VERY wise individual, the ball joint and the stub axle retain the same distance regardless of the amount of camber thrown at the wheel. YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE TYRE SIZE. The profile you are running is too large and it is fouling. Go for a 235 or 245/30/20 but even then your going to need to trial fit a few different manufacturers as they do vary the casing size by a few MM between them, Falkens and Yokies have a smaller casing size than goodyear for example.

I don't know any other way to put it. you simply need to change the tyre. try removing the grease nipple from the bottom of the ball joint if the tyre has not already ripped it off. Take if from someone who has been there and done it.
