so can you remember how the brackets were on the car? my EL ones had 1 bolt holding it and 1 bolt holding it as well as going through the arm, the xr ones have 2 bolts holding it to the car then another bolt holding the arm to the bracket, which holds the arm further towards the back of the car

Hey guys,
I just finished helping Mr Ed install his diff and i can totally agree with him when he said the ef xr upper control arms are bent inwards to the cabin because it really clearly does. There is a larger bracket with 2 holes and it's bent outwards to match the upper control arms. I'd post up a pic but we didn't have a camera when fitting it. For anyone out there that's thinking of putting in an lsd in my opinion try to hunt down a 3.45 as i had a 3.23 in my ED and i can say that 3.45 feels way more responsive through the gears. Cheers

yep well its in and boy do i have a grin on my face For those who are going to do this you DO need the brackets to hold the upper control arm and a really good piece of advice is make sure you know which side they go on! dont mix the brackets up lol. It even took a bit of grinding to get the bolts on the new brackets to fit! But its in and its awsome and yeh you can feel a noticable difference in the gears... punch it in first and the back trys to overtake the front
