Looking in the EF Workshop Manual (proper Ford one) there is no difference specified for manual gearbox ratios. XR6 does have 3.45 diff ratio vs 3.08 for std I6.

again, same as every other Falcon.
Box : $500 the rest and fitting: $800 as a rough guide. Or if you hunt around you can do it for as low as $500 yourself. XF-EA-EB T5's have a different ratio to the later WC EB2 and Up boxes and the later ones are slightly better.

thanks guys, that helps. now i know that i dont have to look for a box from and xr.
i probobly could fit the box myself but would be too much stuffing around expecially with the pedal box, plus i wouldnt trust myself enough to do it lol.

Should tackle it yourself is a good experiance to do it. There is a how to guide on fordmods somewhere of how to do it plus you don't have to piss f@rt around with a pedal box swap just get a clutch pin from malwood auto they make a pin that allows u too use ur standard auto pedal box

I've got the Mal Wood pin setup in my car - and using that pin in an auto pedal box that has the hole waiting for it is definitely superior to using factory manual pedal boxes which are s**t.
To be blunt you are better off buying a new auto pedal box or getting a good secondhand one and getting it beefed up else pulling your own one OUT and beefing that up - else the pin will almost certainly start tearing out the side of the pedal box eventually.
