I got to say that even though my EF XR6 still has the standard Ford suspension setup it still rides awesome 10 years on.
I gave the shocks a clean so I could read what was on them and was surprised to see that they had Ford part number on them and the date was the original fit date.

I had a Monroe GT gas shocks and king superlows fitted to my EF GLi and the stock EF XR6 setup was still harder and had better performance.
The XR6 doesnt have a camber kit fitted like I did on my GLi but still is much better.
No sign of leaks or anything on the setup either.

I would like to lower the car and fit a camber kit and bigger swaybar but I dont want to mess up the awesome setup on there now.

Anyone else got a factory setup that is top notch?

My Ghia still handles good, the ride height being in between XR and GLI specs, i think the shockies are still original, have a Ford number on them, handles good anyway.

this ones not exactly standard but it uses ford parts.

i fitted my old EF XR6 springs to my olds EB gli. there was a %200 increase and ride and handleing. i couldn't believe how well it made the heap drive.
body roll has been halved and it doesn't wollow all over the place any more.
as a bonus it has a ride hight thats isn't low enough to make it obvious the car has been lowerd, but it makes you look twice just to be sure.

i'd recommend it any one

mels stock xr has low kms and shocks/springs are still very good. she has pirelli's all around (235/and 245s) and it handles great. but i can absolutely rape it on a corner with my pedders/kyb heavy duty sport shocks and 30mm antisways like no tomorrow, also can do much high speed sideways action. but mine has a much firmer ride which i dont mind. (18s made it worse tho eek lol)

What parts are we looking at just for the XR6 setup. I want to change my GLI spec Fairmont suspension to exactly that of a Fairmont Ghia. That shouldn't be too expensive should it?
