Hey guys,
Im looking to work my EF XR6's suspension.I'm after something lower but am also after handling improvements too, tighter and more direct, lower roll etc. King springs look good, but if my mates car is anything to go by, feel and drive like s**t. just after ball park figures on stuff. If anyone has any ideas, or answers that would be awesome if u could fill me in. Cheers guys. |

Replacing the springs to Lows will lower it up to 10mm lower than standard. Replacing the shocks with shortened type will also improve handling giving a firmer stiffer ride. You can go further by using larger sway bars to reduce body roll.

Go for Lovell springs and KYB shocks.
Had them in my EL faimont and in my AU. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than before.

the kyb and lovells work really well only that to my knowledge the kyb dont come in a short stroke, dont know why,you said you wanted to lower it a bit considering its already a sport low in normal falcon specs technically you will be going superlow,if you wanna stop the roll mate invest in some whiteline heavy duty swaybars,

Sweet thx for the advice guys, its all gonna have to wait a bit tho.
Just had to get the front end of my engine fixed up, timing chain and tensioner were all f**k. Turned out the mechanic that did the roady when i bought it was a knob, go figure. He fixed an oil leak on the timing tensioner, with silicone. It certainly stopped the leak, but also stopped any oilflow what-so-ever through the regulator valve. By the time i got it to my mechanic the timing chain was completely loose and the chain guides looked like theyd gone 1 mill kays. All fixed now but it was a s**t of a job. |

Yeah bigger sway bars and new bushes will tighten it up nicely
