It will all go straight in, no worries. The XR is still the same car, just has a few extra bits. My EF Fairmont Ghia has XR8 Springs.Works out well, as the front is slightly firmer with the V8 springs, and the car sits more level.
EA-EL share the same springs and shocks, only difference is early EA's have a different front shock top mount, can be swapped over though. Fairlanes and LTD's are the same, Wagons and utes obviously only share the fronts with the sedans as they have leafs in the back, AU non IRS are the same in the back and not sure about the front. But yes, it will fit. Go for it! |

if your car is a six it will sit high at the front because because they're meant to carry the extra 40kg's of v8.

Well they should be lower than stock, but i'd assume the front will sit a bit higher than the back. You could probably pick up some 6 cylinder front and just flog off the v8 ones, it'l still be a good buy:P

Greetings all
It has been something we have struggled with since the forum's inception... from new members and long termers alike. The problem of which i speak, is the use of the 6 Cylinder Workshop to discuss non 6 Cylinder related issues. We understand the reasons why - most of the Falcons are 6 Cylinders and hence this forum tends to be the most used. But please consider the following before posting in this forum. The 6 Cylinder Workshop is intended for issues relating to the Ford 6 Cylinder engines. It is NOT a place for non-engine related queries, so please DO NOT post such queries in here purely because your vehicle has a 6 Cylinder engine. A few tips: -Brake related topics - belong in the Gearbox, Suspension, Brake and Driveline Workshop -Squeaky suspension noises - belong in the Gearbox, Suspension, Brake and Driveline Workshop -Questions relating to automatic and manual transmissions (inlcuding most conversion issues) - belong in the Gearbox, Suspension, Brake and Driveline Workshop Please consider "is this specific to my engine's configuration?" before starting new topics in this forum. Regards Martin aka 4.9 EF Futura |
