My EL is starting to get old.....

When cold the Auto gearbox has started hesitating to stay in gear when taking off from a start (jumps into gear, then hesistates to shift) and when hot is randomly jumping out of 4th gear into neutral (when under load, such as going up a hill at speed)

Booked in for a tranny specialist on Tuesday, but thought I'd garner opinions.. Its done 238000km, but has been serviced and flushed regularly.

maybe the oil temp sensor in the auto.

yours is a 3spd or the 4spd auto?

The 3's were prone to a lot of problems I thought...

the el only ever came out with a 4 speed auto or the t5 and if its jumping in and out of gear yor gonna have a valve body or solonoide problem
