Hey the other day i was testing my car out.. has a turbo on it now, and was going really well.. then i decided to wash my car, i washed the car then went for a drive and my headunit basically fried.

A little later on my box started playing up, the next day i take for a drive and the speedo stopped working and i only had reverse and 1st gear.

The next thing i did was changed the speedo drive but still the same problem.. maybe that is stuffed aswell.

Today i jacked the car up and started the car and stuck it in reverse and the speedo seems to work fine in reverse. goto drive and no speedo but the wheels do turn normally but only in 1st gear.

Just wondering what you people think it is? still the speedo drive or the ecu? or maybe dash cluster?

My guess is water has entered your wiring somewhere. You fried your head unit, then the rest starts to play up. Get a sparkie to look at it and see what comes from that.

well i put new speedo drive in and still nothing
so i pulled it back out plugged it up and turnt the ignition on and turnt the drive with my hands..
And the speedo works

so Then i crawled back under the car and stuck my finger into the hole and the gear feels like its stripped.

Next step is pulling off the extension housing on the box and hopefully i can swaw the gear for another 1.
