tonite when i went out for a drive the brakes were fine then when i got home they made a sound but only inside the car when i put my foot down it makes a sound like thirs air in the line and i slambed the brakes on thir was a clunk sound from the left hand frount and now thirs not much braking power does any one have anny ideas of what it might be thanks.

brake booster would be my 1st guess...... need 2 feet on the brake peddle to stop the dam thing???

If you put you foot on the peddle Do you hear a SSSHHHH sound ?, if you do sounds like the Diaphragm in the booster is gone or the seals have gone in the master cylinder.

With the break master cylinder i think you can get kits for them and they should be easy to install should be cheaper than buying a replacement, with the booster if its that you have to replace it.

yep it makes a ssssshhhh sound is the master cylinder were you put break flued or is that the booster or is it both.

My guess like the others have said the booster the big black round thing behind the master cyl

hey mate got the same problem with my ef, just wondering did u end up changing both the master cyclinder and the booster or just the booster??

just a note - don't overtighten the nuts / bolts for the master cylinder. Will result in a cracked booster. Torque to specs
