hey, i got a problem with my EL, the abs seems to come on around town when im not drivin/ breaking hard. anyone know what could cause this? or how to fix it? :(

You sure it's the ABS? Sounds like a warped disc...

yeah it mite even be the brake pads, mite take it in to my mechanic

More than likely you need new rotors, they have a bad habit of warping which will give you brake shudder.

Replaced mine 3 months ago with DBA slotted rotors $105ea, thanks to Cam at hightek brakes (site Sponsor)

YES I AGREE IT IS YOUR DISCS. ALSO I WOULD CHEACH YOUR WHEEL BEARINGS THAY MAY NEED REPACKING THEM

More than likely as mentioned your rotors may need machining.
A simple way to rule out the ABS is to remove the ALB fusible link - this disables the ABS, and the car will brake like a non ABS car. Road test the car, if the problem remains it's not the ABS.

got the same problem with our EL fairmont at the moment. just needs new rotors
