I heard running a el ecu in a eb is better. Can some one tell me what the benefits are an how to to it?

the main reason you change to the el ecu is for the timing and fuel maps for the bbm and the thermo fan control, bear in mind the el ecu needs the base timing set at 0deg btdc but the ed one needs to be set at about 8 or 10 btdc?
