Hey all
I'm kitting my EL fairmont, so I want to lower it from tractor spec, but i don't want it low enough to scrape or it might break the kit. I had an EL XR6 before... and I figure that ride heght would be pretty good. Should I just go for king low spings? Or should I do something else? The wreckers near me have an EF XR6, I could try and source the complete suspension package from that... would that work? Juts want to make sure it looks good but is practical. |

Hahaha, Yeah, I couldn't afford to run the xr6 anymore, sucks but that was that - thought i'd sell it before noone wanted them before the petrol was too expensive and it wasn't worth much. and southy, i live with a fairly decent incline coming into the driveway and i have to drive over heaps of speed humps, i don't much feel like cracking my bodykit. |

Mate, suspension out of an "EF" XR??? s**t, next you'll be wacking on the EF front and re-trimming the interior with the "op shop" blue and purple EF XR trim... Nah, in all seriousness, why don't you just cut your springs? Commodore drivers around here do it and think it's cool.... (FYI: this is a joke. I do NOT reccomend cutting of the springs...) In all PROPER seriousness. Ask STEADY-ED. He seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to suspension kits. |

Hey soulfire, just fitted Lovell's Sport Low's (FFL-47) to my EF wagon, brings it down to XR height about 30-35mm lower than standard. Not to low but low enough to look good, very happy with the firmer ride.

King lows are the same height as tickford at the front, but a little lower than tickford at the rear.
I have a complete XR setup from my EL Ghia thats for sale. Only done 120,000km. |
