You said you were going to check next time you had a chance, which implies a level of distrust, and makes the reader think that perhaps your "i'm not going to argue" was meant in a condescending manner.

You are both sad sacks who need to cheer up. :)

I said I wasn't going to argue because I wasn't going to argue. (which was the question in 79's first post).

I said i was going to check it out next time because I am going to check it out next time. (honest I know...... maybe I shouldn't be?)

If I tell you that the sky is blue, you are still going to open your own eyes and have a look next time you go outside, because that is human nature. We are inherently inquisitive.

It doesn't mean you didn't believe me that the sky is blue, it meant that you had a look!

And besides, who's to say the original diff is still in the car? It is after all 10 years old and done 130k's. It could have had another one (yes...even one with a different ratio) put in it!

BTW.... I wouldn't be condescending, I would be placating you! (Now that is condescending!!) hehe

GeZza200,
Apart from the asides, congratulations, that's a trade we'd all like to make. I keep hoping some-one will swap a good LSD for all the good single spinners I have here. LOL
Cheers,
Paul
